Westfield, Mass. – The Framingham State University Rams finished third in the 2013-2014 Howard C. Smith Cup Standings. Bridgewater State University won the Smith Cup that is awarded annually to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) member institution that compiles the most points based on the placement of each of its programs competing in the 15 league championship sports.

Gorham, Maine – The Framingham State University women’s cross country team closed out its 2013 slate with a 50th-place outing at the NCAA Division III New England Regionals on Saturday at Southern Maine. The Rams tabulated 1,516 points as Williams needed just 44 to take the team crown.

The Rams amassed 1,556 points while Williams won the team title with 77 points.

Bristol, R.I. – The Framingham State University women’s cross country team placed 39th at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championships hosted by Roger Williams on Saturday at Colt State Park. The Rams accumulated 1055 points while Middlebury took the team title with 30 points.

Bristol, R.I. – The Framingham State University men’s cross country team posted a 46th-place finish at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championships hosted by Roger Williams on Saturday at Colt State Park. Williams captured the team crown with 26 ponts as the Rams accounted for 1,333.

Gorham, Maine – The Framingham State men’s cross country team finished 15th in the New England Alliance Championship and eighth in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championship meet at Southern Maine on Saturday. Westfield State won MASCAC title with 18 points as the Rams were eighth (223) and Keene State won the Alliance Championship with 16 points as Framingham State posted 441.

Gorham, Maine – The Framingham State women’s cross country team finished sixth in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championship meet and 11th overall at the New England Alliance Championship on Saturday at Southern Maine. Keene State captured the Alliance crown with 17 points and Westfield State took the MASCAC title with 34 points. The Rams posted 319 points in the Alliance portion of the event and 168 points amongst MASCAC competition.

Springfield, Mass. - The Framingham State women’s cross country team posted a 12th place finish at the Western New England University Invitational on Saturday. Salve Regina took home the team crown with 55 points while the Rams amassed 367. Junior Janet Brady (Whitman, Mass.) sliced nearly 45 seconds off her debut performance last week as she clocked a 21:09.12 for 36th place

Springfield, Mass. – The Framingham State men’s cross country team finished 16th at the Western New England University Invitational on Saturday. The Rams posted 464 points as Westfield State won the meet with 37. Senior Chris Baza (Milford, Mass.) was the quickest Ram with a 78th-place time of 30:01.75 as freshman Dan Stevens (Holliston, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 80th with a time of 30:07.59.
