Women’s Cross Country 50th at NCAA Division III Regionals

Gorham, Maine – The Framingham State University women's cross country team closed out its 2013 slate with a 50th-place outing at the NCAA Division III New England Regionals on Saturday at Southern Maine. The Rams tabulated 1,516 points as Williams needed just 44 to take the team crown.

Junior Janet Brady (Whitman, Mass.) paced the Rams with a time of 25:21.07 (209th), 25.47 seconds quicker than her time last week at the ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships. Sophomore Emma Hazen (Framingham, Mass.) shattered her ECAC Championships time by 1:13 as she turned in a 28:14.43 (322nd).

Sophomore Fiona Coughlan (Quincy, Mass.) followed in 322nd (28:53.68) and freshman Kayleigh Laughlin (Gardner, Mass.) was 1:34 faster than last week with a 29:17.67 (337). Rookie Jillian Preman (Wilbraham, Mass.) completed her race eight ticks better than a week ago with a 30:17.16 (352nd) and sophomore Philomena Nessralla (Marshfield, Mass.) carved 13 seconds off her ECAC mark with a 357th-place 31:19.01.
