Springfield, Mass. – The Framingham State men's cross country team finished 16th at the Western New England University Invitational on Saturday. The Rams posted 464 points as Westfield State won the meet with 37.

Senior Chris Baza (Milford, Mass.) was the quickest Ram with a 78th-place time of 30:01.75 as freshman Dan Stevens (Holliston, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 80th with a time of 30:07.59, nearly a minute faster than his performance a week ago.

Rookie Adam Meltzer (Holliston, Mass.) raced to a 34:58.88 for 149th while sophomore Thomas Rainsford (Holliston, Mass.) shaved off just over 30 seconds from last week as he turned in a 37:14.97 (161st). Sophomores Kyle Gagin (Winthrop, Mass.) and Patrick Holden (Stoneham, Mass.) shored up the Framingham State point scorers in 175th and 176th, respectively.

The Rams travel to Williams on Saturday for the final test before the MASCAC/Alliance Championships at Southern Maine.
