Men’s Cross Country Places 31st at James Earley Invitational

Westfield, Mass. – All five runners improved their times as the Framingham State men's cross country team placed 31st at the 18th annual James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University on Saturday. Host Westfield secured the team crown with 77 points while the Rams accumulated 918.

Senior Chris Baza (Milford, Mass.) once again led the Rams as he broke the tape with a time of 29:49.24 (164th). Freshman Dan Stevens (Holliston, Mass.) came home 210th (31:02.40) as classmate Adam Meltzer (Holliston, Mass.) recorded a 34:15.56 for 277th.

Sophomore Thomas Rainsford (Holliston, Mass.) crossed the finish line 319th (38:49.00) as newcomer Pat Holden (Stoneham, Mass.) rounded out the lineup with a 329th-place 43:24.09.

Framingham State heads to the Western New England Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
