32 Rams Named to Spring 2013 MASCAC All-Academic Team

Westfield, Mass. — A total of 670 student-athletes, including 32 from Framingham State University, have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s Spring 2013 All-Academic Team as announced earlier today by MASCAC Commissioner Angela Baumann.

Buzzards Bay, Mass. – The Framingham State University baseball team will be the second seed and Salem State University has earned the top seed in the 2013 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Championships, which begin with single elimination first round play on Thursday, May 2nd and continue in a double elimination format from Friday, May 3rd through Sunday, May 5th, as this year’s tournament field has expanded from four to six teams.

Buzzards Bay, Mass. – Framingham State University junior right-handed pitcher Matt DiCato (Winthrop, Mass.) has been tabbed as the 2013 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Year as he and teammates Anthony Iafolla (Medfield, Mass.) and Justin Forman (Watertown, Mass.) have been named to the All-MASCAC teams in voting conducted by the conference’s eight coaches and announced by the conference office this morning.
