Buzzards Bay, Mass. – Framingham State University junior right-handed pitcher Matt DiCato (Winthrop, Mass.) has been tabbed as the 2013 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Year as he and teammates Anthony Iafolla (Medfield, Mass.) and Justin Forman (Watertown, Mass.) have been named to the All-MASCAC teams in voting conducted by the conference's eight coaches and announced by the conference office this morning.

DiCato and Iafolla, a junior catcher, garnered first team nods, while Forman, a senior infielder, landed on the second team for the Rams who finished the 2013 regular season second in the MASCAC with a 9-5 mark and earned a bye in the first round of the MASCAC Baseball Championship.

DiCato was tabbed as the MASCAC Pitcher of the Week twice this season and earns his second first team All-MASCAC nod.  DiCato currently leads the MASCAC in wins as he has compiled a 6-1 record with two saves.  He ranks in the top ten in the conference in strikeouts (30) and earned run average (1.95).  DiCato has posted a pair of shutouts in conference action and opponents are hitting just .232 when he's on the mound.

Iafolla receives his first All-Conference honors after hitting .309 with five doubles and 17 RBI.  Forman also receives his first All-Conference nod at first base.  Forman led the Rams and was among the conference leaders batting .364 with seven doubles and 16 RBI.  Forman, who has played multiple positions this season, has committed just five errors with a .980 fielding percentage.
