16 Rams Named to Spring 2010 MASCAC All-Academic Team

Buzzards Bay, Mass. Nearly 340 student-athletes, including 16 student-athletes from Framingham State College, have been honored by the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) with selection to the leagues Spring 2010 All-Academic Team as announced by MASCAC Commissioner Angela Baumann this morning.

Framingham, Mass. Framingham State College junior catcher Sean Callahan (Watertown, Mass.) has signed a 10-day contract with the North Shore Navigators of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. The Navigators play their home games at Fraser Field in Lynn.

The Framingham State College baseball team has been selected to participate in the 2010 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Baseball Tournament as the fifth seed. The fifth seeded Rams will face fourth seed Suffolk University on Wednesday, May 12th at Adams Field in Quincy.

The second seed Framingham State College baseball team was eliminated from the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) baseball tournament today with a 14-7 loss to fourth seed Bridgewater State in a losers bracket game played this morning at Westfield States Alumni Field. With the loss the Rams are now 23-17 on the season and await a possible bid to the ECAC
