Crofton Selected MASCAC Baseball Co-Player of the Week
Framingham, Mass. — Freshman outfielder Will Crofton (Hopkinton, Mass.) was selected the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Co-Player of the week for the week ending May 1st. Crofton shares player of the week honors with Westfield State senior first baseman Ben Campbell.
Crofton, who leads the Rams with a .377 average this season, batted .588 this week (10-for-17) with a double, homer, four RBI and seven runs scored as the Rams compiled a 4-1 record. Crofton picked up five hits including the game-winning homerun in game two of doubleheader sweep of Fitchburg State that secured the second seed in the MASCAC baseball tournament which begins on Thursday and also helped the Rams tie the FSC single season win record.
