58 Rams Named to Spring 2016 MASCAC All-Academic Team

Westfield, Mass. - A total of 855 student-athletes, including 58 from Framingham State University, have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) with selection to the league’s Spring 2016 All-Academic Team as announced earlier this week by MASCAC Commissioner Angela Baumann.

Westfield, Mass.- The Framingham State women’s basketball team was defeated 92-86 by Westfield State in a thrilling MASCAC championship game at the Woodward Center on Saturday afternoon. The Owls improve to 20-7 on the season and claim the conference’s automatic-qualifier into the NCAA Div. III Women’s Basketball Tournament.

North Adams, MA- The visiting Framingham State women’s basketball team received 26 points from Raegan Mulherin (Baldwinville, Mass.) while Tiphani Harris (Revere, Mass.) and Monta Connolly (Lynn, Mass.) collected double-doubles as they cruised past the MCLA Trailblazers 83-52 in the Amsler Campus Center Gym. With the win, the Rams improve to 16-6 overall and are 8-2 in the MASCAC. MCLA evens their mark at 11-11 on the season and sit at 3-7 in conference play.

Westfield, Mass.- The Framingham State University women’s basketball team fell to host Westfield State, 94-76 on Saturday afternoon at the Woodward Center gymnasium. Prior to the contest the two teams were tied atop the MASCAC standings. With the win the Owls improve to 15-7 (8-1 MASCAC) and take sole possession of first place in the league. With the loss the Rams slip to 15-6 (7-2 MASCAC).
Sophomore Shooters Surge Women’s Basketball Through Bridgewater State

Framingham, Mass.-Framingham State sophomores Raegan Mulherin (Baldwinville, Mass.) and Quinn O’Connell (Sterling, Mass.) combined for 20 third-quarter points to lead the Rams over Bridgewater State by a score of 66-56 in MASCAC action Wednesday evening in Framingham. The Rams are now riding a 6 game winning streak as they improve to 15-5 and 7-1 in league play. The Bears fall to 8-11 and 5-2 in the league with both conference losses coming at the hands of Rams.
Women’s Basketball Defeats Salem State; 60-41

Framingham, Mass.- The Framingham State women’s basketball team defeated Salem State in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action by a score of 60-41 Saturday afternoon in Framingham. The victory is the Rams fifth straight as they improve to 14-5 and 6-1 in league play. The Vikings slip to 6-14 and 2-5 in conference action.
