Women’s Basketball Lands Three on All-MASCAC Teams; Paschal Name Coach of the Year

Framingham, Mass.- Three Framingham State University women's basketball players have been named to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) all-conference teams and head coach Walter Paschal has been chosen as the Champion's Choice Coach of the Year.

Junior center Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and sophomore guard Raegan Mulherin (Baldwinville, Mass.) garnered first-team honors and junior forward Monta Connolly (Lynn, Mass.) was a second-team selection.

Rackliffe led the conference in total rebounds (261), rebounds per game (10.9) and blocks (85) while also tallying 12.4 points per game. Mulherin led the league in points per game (18.1) and was second in total points (435) at the end of the regular season. Connolly averaged 11 points and 9 rebounds a game for the Rams.

Paschal was honored by his peers for leading the Rams to a. 18-6 record with a 10-2 conference mark earning the second seed in the MASCAC tournament.

The Rams will host Bridgewater State in the semi-final round of the 2016 MASCAC Tournament on Thursday, February 25th at 6:00 p.m.
