Framingham, Mass. – Salem State used a three-goal third period to hold off a late surge from Framingham State, earning a 5-4 victory in MASCAC men's ice hockey action early Saturday morning at Loring Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

1st Period: 

  • 06:40 – Salem State struck first with Luke Day scoring unassisted to make it 1-0. 

2nd Period: 

  • 05:15 – Salem State regained the lead on the power play with Zach Dill finding the back of the net, assisted by Landyn Greatorex and Keagan O'Donoghue for a 2-1 advantage. 

3rd Period: 

  • 01:25 – Framingham State tied the game as Scott Bugarin scored unassisted, making it 2-2. 

  • 02:27 – Salem State's Henry Wilson responded with an unassisted goal to reclaim the lead at 3-2. 

  • 02:30 – Just three seconds later, Nick Sweet extended the lead to 4-2, assisted by Ryan Barrett and Mitch Wilkie. 

  • 06:25 – Carson James added another for Salem State, assisted by O'Donoghue and Day, making it 5-2.
