Women’s Cross Country Places 23rd at Earley Invitational

Westfield, Mass. – Framingham State University women's cross country team placed 23 rd at the 2014 James Earley Invitational Saturday afternoon hosted by Westfield State.

The Rams were led by reigning MASCAC Runner of the Week, freshman Haley Chamberlain (Charlton, Mass) who finished with a time of 19:56.40 (54th). Four Rams crossed in the 21st minute, Hannah Daly (Ashland, Mass), Megan Peterson (Walpole, Mass), Courtney Torress (Westminster, Mass) & Emily Mulloy (East Bridgewater, Mass) finished with times of 21:27.68 (144th), 21:57.66 (171st), 21:58.84 (172nd) & 21:58.84 (173rd), respectively.

Morgan Zabinski (Reboboth, Mass) & Valerie Thibaud (Charlton, Mass) finished at 22:54.72 (236th) & 23:06.54 (153rd). The next flurry of Rams crossed in the 23rd minute when Hannah Rogers (Dighton, Mass), Emma Hazen (Framingham, Mass), Jillian Preman (Wilbraham, Mass), Mikaela Ranahan (North Andover, Mass) & Jenna Anan (Littleton, NH) all finished in the 23:32.29-23:47.27 time frame.

Kayleigh Laughlin (Gardner, Mass) crossed the line a 24:16.78 (317th) while Rachel Holland (Holliston, Mass) and Philomena Nessralla (Marshfield, Mass) rounded out the Rams competitors at 25:52.22 (370) & 25:56.64 (371), respectively.

The Rams placed 23rd of 44 teams with an average time of 21:27.83. The Rams will return to action on Saturday, October 18th when they travel to the WNE Cross Country Invitational.
