Women's Cross Country Places Third at the Pop Crowell Invitational

Wenham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's cross country team had a strong showing as they placed third at the 48th Annual Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College.
THE BASICS:

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Sophomore Eliza Weisse (Hampden, Mass.) and freshman Alison Pais (Peabody, Mass.) paced the Rams placing 12th and 13th respectively. Weisse completed the 6K course in a time of 26:27, while Pais crossed eight seconds later at 26:35.
- The Rams finished in third place with 95 total points, while the University of New England won the meet.
- Senior Beatrice Donoghue (Rowley, Mass.) crossed the line next for the Rams at 27:07, while sophomore Katie Hayes (Dedham, Mass.) followed at 28:27.
- Freshman Emily Newcomb (Raynham, Mass.) was the next Rams to complete the course at 28:32, while senior Dana Arburr (Glastonbury, Conn.) and junior Eri Takahashi (Plymouth, Mass.) rounded out the top seven finishers for the Rams at 29:02 and 29:55.

The Rams are off next week, but return to the course on October 12th at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University.
