Volleyball Drops Five Setter at Worcester State in MASCAC Clash

Worcester, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team dropped a hard fought five set match this evening 3-2 to Worcester State in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference action at Brissette Court.   

THE BASICS: 

- Scores:  Worcester State 3, Framingham State 2 (25-27, 25-14, 27-25, 25-23, 15-11) 

- Records:  Framingham State (10-14, 2-3 MASCAC), Worcester State (7-15, 4-1 MASCAC) 

- Location:  Brissette Court – Worcester, Mass.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

• The Rams took the first and third sets by scores of 27-25, but the Lancers wrapped up the victory by taking the second, fourth and deciding fifth sets by scores of 25-14, 25-23 and 15-11. 

• The Rams received 19 kills on 48 attempts from Natalie Reynolds, while Emma Dobbins added 11 kills and nine digs in the match. 

• Hope Verhoeven added 10 kills and three digs, while Jamie Moniz and Sarah Medeiros added five kills apiece.  

• Anneli DiVirgilio added a team best 20 defensive digs, while Madysen Cedrone chipped in with 11. 

• Stella Baile finished the match with 44 set assists and added 10 digs, while Carly Beaulieu added eight digs and three aces.
