Volleyball Outlasts MCLA 3-1

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team received a game-best 23 kills from Natalie Reynolds as the Rams defeated MCLA 3-1 this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Logan Gymnasium.   

THE BASICS: 

-Scores:  Framingham State 3, MCLA 1 (25-17, 25-22, 25-27, 26-24) 

-Records: Framingham State (9-13, 2-2 MASCAC), MCLA (7-14, 2-2 MASCAC) 

- Location: Logan Gymnasium Framingham, Mass.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams took the first two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-22, but the Trailblazers rallied to pull out the third set 27-25. Trailing in the fourth by as many as nine points, the Rams stormed back to tie the game eventually securing the victory 26-24. 

  • Reynolds paced the Rams with her career-best 26 kills in the match on 55 attempts. Reynolds, who added five digs and three blocks, committed just five attack errors in the game, which was good enough for a .382 attack percentage. 

  • Hope Verhoeven finished the match with nine kills for the Rams, while Stella Bailey racked up 39 set assists, two aces and 19 digs. 

  • Jamiee Lowe also finished the match with double digit digs as she added 11, while Emma Dobbins finished the match with three kills, three aces and seven digs.
