Volleyball Sweeps Tri-Match with Bay Path and Anna Maria

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team picked up a pair of victories this afternoon defeating Bay Path 3-1 before defeating Anna Maria 3-0 in non-conference action at Logan Gymnasium.

- Scores:  Framingham State 3, Bay Path 1 (15-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-14) 
Framingham State 3, Anna Maria 0 (25-12, 25-12, 25-10)

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

FSU 3, Bay Path 1 

• After dropping the first set 25-15, the Rams pulled out three closely contested frames by scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-14 to secure the victory over Bay Path. 

• The Rams were led in the match by 11 kills from Emma Dobbins, who added three aces, four digs and five blocks. 

• Natalie Reynolds chipped in with seven kills in the match, while Sarah Medeiros added eight kills and six digs. 

• Hope Verhoeven contributed six kills, four aces, and 15 defensive digs, while Stella Bailey finished the match with 35 set assists and 12 digs. 

• Anneli DiVirgilio added 11 digs and four aces, while Carly Beaulieu chipped in with eight digs and a pair of aces.  

FSU 3, Anna Maria 0 

• The Rams downed the Amcats by scores of 25-12, 25-12 and 25-10. 

• Reynolds led the way with 12 kills on 21 attempts with just one error, while Jamie Moniz finished the match with six kills and three digs with four blocks. 

• Bailed finished the match with 12 assists and seven digs, while DiVirgilio added six digs and Beaulieu, Nayla Chaves and Jamiee Lowe added five digs apiece.
