Women’s Track Places 10th at Corsair Classic

North Dartmouth, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's outdoor track and field team opened the 2024 season this afternoon placing tenth at the Corsair Classic hosted by UMass Dartmouth.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

• The Rams placed tenth as a team at the Corsair Classic this afternoon. 

• Alyssa Caputo paced the Rams in the throwing events with a ninth place finish in the discus (30.96m) and tenth in the shot put (9.51m). 

• Jamie Moniz had a solid first meet for the Rams. Moniz finished seventh in the high jump (1.42M), sixth in the triple jump (9.67m) and fifth in the 400m dash (1:04.91). 

• The Rams 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay teams both finished fifth in their respective races. 

• Natalie Grimaldo placed tenth in the 400m with a time of 1:07.16 and Kelsey Gendreau placed 11th in the 5,000m run with a time of 22:57.21,
