Women's Track & Field Competes at Jim Sheehan Invitational

Fitchburg, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's track and field team was back in action this afternoon at the 2022 Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational hosted by Fitchburg State.  

THE BASICS:

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:  

  • The Rams top finisher in the 100M dash was Brooke Fenton who crossed the line in 19th with a time of 16.67 seconds. 

  • Leah Chace led the Rams in the 400 with a fifth place finish in a time of 1:12.00, while Jamie Mills crossed ninth at 1:15.51. 

  • The Rams saw two runners finish in the top twenty of the 1500M run. Amanda Bedard crossed first for the Rams at 5:48.17, while Kammarie Pelland followed at 6:17.25. 

  • Camille Carvalho was the leader for the Rams in the 10,000M run finished in third place with a time of 45:15.16, while teammate Eliza Weisse crossed in fourth a second behind at 45:16.21. 

  • Emily Newcomb once again was solid for the Rams in the 3000M steeplechase finishing in second place with a time of 12:44.30. 

  • Alyssa Caputo led the Rams in the discus placing sixth with a toss of 29.59M .
