Lesley Cruises to 4-0 Win Over Women’s Soccer

Lexington, MA – Lesley University extended their solid form with a decisive 4-0 victory over Framingham State in a Wednesday night matchup at Minuteman HS Field. A strong all-around performance from the Lynx saw them maintain control throughout, while the Rams struggled to find a breakthrough. 

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Lesley opened the scoring in the 24th minute, with Lily Wright finishing off a setup from Maya Spatafore and Chase Livesey. The home team doubled the lead just before halftime at 40:08 when Leecy Cruz found the back of the net, assisted by Rachel Weinzimer. 

  • In the second half, Lesley continued to press their advantage, with Chase Livesey scoring twice. The first came at 51:33, assisted by Bethany Slivka and Cruz, while the final goal was added in the 82nd minute, as Cruz once again set up Livesey to complete the 4-0 scoreline. 

  • Framingham State struggled to generate offense, managing only one shot on goal for the game. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Shots: Lesley outshot Framingham State 14-7, including a 9-1 advantage in shots on goal. 

  • Saves: Framingham's Madison Magone recorded 5 saves, while Lesley goalkeeper Lauren Lacy was called into action once. 

  • Corner Kicks: Lesley held a slight edge with 2 corners compared to Framingham's 1.
