Women’s Soccer Falls at UMass Dartmouth

Dartmouth, Mass. – The Framingham State women's soccer team was defeated 2-0 on the road by UMass Dartmouth in a MASCAC matchup, despite a solid defensive effort from goalkeeper Madison Magone, who recorded 13 saves in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • UMass Dartmouth took the lead late in the first half when Adriana Adames scored off a long range free kick in the 36th minute. 

  • Adames struck again in the second half, finding the net in the 78th minute, again unassisted, to seal the victory for the Corsairs. 

  • Framingham State generated 12 shots throughout the match, with five on target, but could not find a breakthrough against UMass Dartmouth's rotating goalkeepers. 

 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Framingham State's Madison Magone made 13 saves, facing 20 shots from UMass Dartmouth. 

  • UMass Dartmouth's Adriana Adames accounted for both goals, while their goalkeeping trio of Grace Conti, Tori Russo, and Emma Juelis combined for five saves. 

  • UMass Dartmouth held a 20-12 advantage in shots and a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
