Newport, R.I. – The Framingham State women's soccer team struggled to find their rhythm on Wednesday afternoon, falling 4-0 to Salve Regina University in non-conference action at Reynolds Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Despite strong goalkeeping from Madison Magone, the Rams were unable to overcome a potent Salve Regina attack.

Salve Regina took control of the game early, with Hannah Daniewicz opening the scoring just 8 minutes into the first half, assisted by Eilish McGowan. The Seahawks extended their lead in the 35th minute when Carah Leclair finished off a pass from Ella Cence to make it 2-0 before halftime.

In the second half, Daniewicz struck again in the 60th minute, notching her second goal of the match off an assist from Lana DiIuro. Just two minutes later, Mia Tsaparlis added a fourth goal for Salve Regina, assisted by Shae Minicucci, sealing the victory.

Framingham State's Madison Magone made 9 saves in the match, keeping the Rams in the game despite the heavy offensive pressure from Salve Regina. Beyonce Gray had the only shot on goal for the Rams.
