Plymouth State Downs Women’s Ice Hockey

Plymouth, N.H. – The Plymouth State Panthers blanked Framingham State 4-0 in a MASCAC women's ice hockey contest Thursday night at Hanaway Rink. 

THE BASICS:

• Records: Plymouth State (8-5-1, 5-0-1), Framingham State (0-12-0, 0-6-0)

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

1st Period: 

• Both teams traded chances, but neither could break through in a scoreless opening frame. Plymouth outshot Framingham 13-5, but Framingham goalie Lila Chamoun stood tall. 

2nd Period: 

• 2:06 – Plymouth State struck first as Emily Biggin scored off assists from Katie Porrello and Lauren McNeil for a 1-0 lead. 

• 2:37 – Just 31 seconds later, Lilli Warnock doubled the lead, finishing a setup from Biggin and Morgan Cunningham to make it 2-0. 

3rd Period: 

• 1:12 – Plymouth added to their lead early in the period with Robyn Grant converting a pass from Emily Gerrie and Emily DeSimone, making it 3-0. 

• 13:20 – Jacqueline Martin capped off the scoring, assisted by Gerrie and Laura Castronova, securing the Panthers' commanding 4-0 victory. 

KEY PERFORMERS: 

Plymouth State: 

• Emily Biggin: 1 goal, 1 assist, set the tone offensively. 

• Emily Gerrie: 2 assists, created opportunities throughout the game. 

• Karlee Lehner: Perfect in net, stopping all 13 shots for her seventh win and third shutout of the season. 

Framingham State: 

• Lila Chamoun: Despite the loss, made 46 saves on 50 shots, keeping the Rams in the game.
