Women’s Ice Hockey Comeback Falls Short Against Anna Maria

Worcester, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's ice hockey team tallied a pair of third period goals, but the Rams were defeated 3-2 by Anna Maria College in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Buffone Arena.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Amcats tallied three first period goals taking a 3-0 lead after one frame. 

  • The second period was scoreless and the Amcats led 3-0 after two. 

  • The Rams rallied for a pair of third period goals to reach the final margin.  Sarah Lewis struck first unassisted just under six minutes into the frame and Lily Wilson added an unassisted tally with just under six to play in the game. 

  • Brigid Milligan took the loss in net for the Rams making 14 saves, while Anna McGinty recorded 10 saves in 20 minutes of action and Lila Chamoun made nine stops in her 20 minutes between the pipes.
