Framingham, MA – A hard-fought contest ended in a 2-2 draw between Fitchburg State and Framingham State on Saturday afternoon. The match saw four goals, multiple cards, and last-minute drama as the teams played to a standstill at Maple St. Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Framingham State opened the scoring in the first half when John Holt converted a pass from Yuji DaSilva at the 24th minute.  

  • Fitchburg State responded in the second half as Zachariah Foster found the net unassisted to level the match in the 51st minute.  

  • With just four minutes remaining, Framingham's Abdellah Eddahbi put his team back in front off an assist from Gustav Hemmingsen. But just seconds later, Foster struck again for Fitchburg, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to equalize. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Shots: Fitchburg State led with 23 total shots, while Framingham had 17. 

  • Fouls: Both teams played aggressively, with Fitchburg committing 20 fouls and Framingham 18. 

  • Corner Kicks: Fitchburg had four corners, and Framingham had three. 

  • Goalkeeper Timothy Singleton: Recorded nine saves, working hard to keep his team level.
