Men’s Soccer Tabbed Fourth in MASCAC Preseason Poll
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's soccer team has been slated to finish fourth in the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer Preseason Poll as voted upon by the eight MASCAC head coaches.
2023 MASCAC Regular Season and Tournament Champion Bridgewater State was selected by the coaches from around the league to reclaim the 2024 MASCAC Men's Soccer title in this year's preseason poll.
Coming in fourth, Framingham State 29 points in the coach's poll after posting a 4-3 mark in MASCAC play in 2023. The Rams top returning scoring threat is Kaio Santos Da Silva, who earned All-Conference accolades after tallying six goals and an assist for 13 points, including two game-winners.
In the top spot in the 2024 poll, the Bears received five first place votes. Sitting in second is Salem State with the final three first place votes with Westfield State is next in third. After the Rams is Worcester State who lands in fifth followed by Fitchburg State is up next in sixth. Closing out the 2024 poll are MCLA and Massachusetts Maritime in seventh and eighth, respectively.
The Rams open their 2024 campaign under first-year head coach Adam Gabbard on Friday, August 30th when they travel to UMass Dartmouth for a non-league matchup.
