Men’s Soccer Plays to 1-1 Draw with Eastern Connecticut

Willimantic, Conn. The Framingham State men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie on the road at Eastern Connecticut in non-conference play Tuesday evening at Thomas Nevers Field. 

THE BASICS: 

- Score:  Eastern Connecticut 1, Framingham State 1 

- Records:Framingham State (4-5-1), Eastern Connecticut (3-4-2) 

- Location: Thomas Nevers Field  Willimantic, Conn. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The Rams opened up the scoring early in the second half when Kaio Santos Da Sliva scored his fifth goal of the season off a setup from Jeffson Malachie.  

  • A few minutes later the Warriors evened the score when Richard MacDaniel scored with the double-assist coming from Miles Deiulis & Julius McNeill and neither side would score again. 

  • The Warriors played a physical game being called for 11 fouls to only two for the Rams.  

  • Joseph Sturzo made three saves in for the Rams while Nathan Yeich & Dylan Pallanck split time in net for the hosts.

The Rams return to action on Saturday at 2pm when they host Westfield State for MASCAC play.
