Men’s Soccer to Play #8 Messiah in First Round of NCAA Tournament

Framingham, Mass.- The 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) tournament champion Framingham State University men's soccer team has qualified for the 2019 NCAA Tournament and will travel to Oneonta, NY for a first-round game on Saturday, November 16th

The Rams who defeated Salem State by a score of 1-0 on Sunday in the MASCAC Championship will face nationally eighth ranked Messiah on Saturday, November 16th at 11:00 am at regional hosted by SUNY Oneonta. 

The Rams were led on the season by junior Bryce Nardizzi who tallied 25 points on nine goals and seven assists and freshman Gustavo Cassemiro who registered 23 points on nine goals and five helpers. MASCAC Tournament MVP Corey Davidge was 9-3 in net posting seven shutouts making 72 saves, with a save percentage of .857 and .90 goals against average. 

Host SUNY Oneonta, who is ranked tenth nationally, will play Babson College on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 pm. The winner of the two first-round games will play Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm.
