Framingham, Mass.- Framingham State senior forward Cory Cardiero (Fall River, Mass.) scored a goal and registered two assists en route to a 5-1 victory over Anna Maria in non-conference men's soccer action Tuesday afternoon in Framingham.

The Rams opened up scoring early in the contest when Cardiero headed in a long cross from freshman Lucas Medeiros (Hudson, Mass.) to take an early lead.

The AMCATS answered back in the 25th minute after a Rams foul setup a free kick for Anna Maria. The Rams struck back when junior Corey Sousa (Hudson, Mass.) sent a low strike past the AMCAT keeper after gathering a lead pass from Cardeiro. FSU closed the 1st half scoring when freshman Corey Dunn (Chelmsford, Mass.) chipped a shot over a AMC defender after the keeper punched out a cross.

The Rams added two goals in the second stanza when newcomer Ken Stahovish (Springfield, Mass.) scored with an assist coming from junior Siman Appiah (Worcester, Mass.). Sophomore Andy Segura (Haverhill, Mass.) scored the Rams 5th goal when a Cardeiro shot was saved and generated a rebound.
