Men’s Soccer Shutout by Gordon

Framingham, Mass.- The Framingham State men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Gordon College in non-conference action on Tuesday at Maple St. Field. With the victory the Scotts improve to 3-2 while the Rams slip to 1-4.

The game's lone tally came late in the first half when senior Evan Crocker (Akron, Ohio) won a 50/50 in his offensive zone which created a breakaway. He beat Rams keeper, junior Josh Arno (Natick, Mass.) low to his left side.

The Rams had an opportunity to tie the contest in the last minute but shots by both junior Mitch Osgood (Salem, Mass.) and Arno were blocked.

Arno made five saves in net for the Rams while freshman Aaron Miller (Rochester, NY) made six saves in net for the Scotts.

Gordon outshot FSU 20 to 12 while taking 6 corner kicks to the Rams 2.

Gordon returns to action on Saturday, September 19th when they host Salve Regina. The Rams will open up MASCAC play on the same day when they travel to Fitchburg State.
