Silva Named to 2009 NSCAA Men’s All-New England West Region Second Team

Framingham, Mass. - Junior forward Jason Silva (Northbridge, Mass.) was named to the 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division III Men's All-New England West Region Second Team.  Silva earns NSCAA honors for the second time in his career as he was a first team selection in 2008.

Silva, the 2009 Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Year, led the Rams with seven goals and five assists for 19 points on the season.  He picked up three game winning goals as he led the Rams to an 8-8-2 record.  The Rams finished tied for second in the MASCAC at 5-1-1 and were eliminated in the opening round of the conference tournament. 

Silva, who has received All-MASCAC honors in each of his three seasons, was the 2007 MASCAC Rookie of the Year.  He currently ranks fifth on the Framingham State All-Time men's soccer scoring list with 89 points and fifth in career goals with 36.
