Men's Soccer Picks Up 12th Win of the Season

Framingham, MA - The Framingham State College men's soccer team picked up their school record 12th win of the season today at home on Maple Street Field with a 9-0 win over the visiting Mountaineers of Southern Vermont College.  With the win, the Rams move to 12-3-1 on the season while the Mountaineers are still in search of their first win.  The Rams previous high for wins in a season was 11 which was accomplished last season.

Junior forward Johnny Goncalves (Framingham, MA) led the offensive charge as he picked up his first hat trick of the season with goals in the 11th, 16th and 25th minutes.  Senior Rob Harvey (Lakeville, MA) picked up two goals on the day one in the 22nd minute and one in the 32nd minute to go along with an assist.

Sophomore Andrew Leahy (Stoneham, MA) picked up a goal and an assist, while Nick Lyman (Feeding Hills, MA), Jason Silva (Milford, MA) and Dago Corrales (Framingham, MA) each scored single goals for the Rams.

The Rams return to action on Saturday as they play host to Bridgewater State College with the MASCAC regular season title on the line at 9 a.m., while the Mountaineers host Newbury on Saturday at 1p.m.
