Men’s Ice Hockey Closes Season with 4-3 Win Over MCLA

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The Framingham State men's ice hockey team secured a 4-3 victory over MCLA in a closely contested conference matchup on Saturday night at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink. 

Rams senior captain Ashton Collazo played in his 101stcareer game, tying a FSU program record set by Marc MacDonald from 1982-86.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

1st Period: 

• Framingham State wasted no time getting on the board, as Caleb Dusek opened the scoring just 23 seconds into the game off assists from Ashton Collazo and Brady Rossbach. 

• MCLA responded on the power play at 3:31, with Quinn Murphy finding the back of the net off helpers from Shane Green and Cade Herrera. 

• The Rams reclaimed the lead at 9:35 when Brady Rossbach netted a power-play goal, assisted by Jake Barcelou. 

• Rossbach struck again on the man advantage at 14:26, extending the Framingham State lead to 3-1 with assists from Ashton Collazo and Jake Barcelou. 

• MCLA cut the deficit to one at 18:23 as Easton Moore scored off passes from Cade Herrera and Quinn Murphy. 

2nd Period: 

•  The Trailblazers pulled even at 1:10 of the second frame when Gavin Glaubitz found the back of the net, assisted by Christopher Gallagher and Quinn Murphy. 

•  Framingham State reclaimed the lead for good at 6:04, as Kaleb Kinskey converted on the power play with assists from Jeremy McDonald and Brent Scott. 

3rd Period: 

• The final period saw no scoring, as Framingham State held on despite heavy offensive pressure from MCLA
