Men’s Ice Hockey Closes Season with 4-3 Win Over MCLA

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The Framingham State men's ice hockey team secured a 4-3 victory over MCLA in a closely contested conference matchup on Saturday night at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink. 

Rams senior captain Ashton Collazo played in his 101stcareer game, tying a FSU program record set by Marc MacDonald from 1982-86.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

1st Period: 

  • MCLA responded on the power play at 3:31, with Quinn Murphy finding the back of the net off helpers from Shane Green and Cade Herrera. 

  • Rossbach struck again on the man advantage at 14:26, extending the Framingham State lead to 3-1 with assists from Ashton Collazo and Jake Barcelou. 

  • MCLA cut the deficit to one at 18:23 as Easton Moore scored off passes from Cade Herrera and Quinn Murphy. 

2nd Period: 

  •  The Trailblazers pulled even at 1:10 of the second frame when Gavin Glaubitz found the back of the net, assisted by Christopher Gallagher and Quinn Murphy. 

3rd Period: 

  • The final period saw no scoring, as Framingham State held on despite heavy offensive pressure from MCLA
