Men’s Ice Hockey Holds on for 3-2 Win Over Worcester

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Framingham State men's ice hockey team secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Worcester State in conference action on Tuesday night at the Fidelity Bank Ice Center. 

THE BASICS:

  • Records: Framingham State (2-16-2, 1-11-1), Worcester State (10-9-1, 7-6-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

1st Period:  

  • Framingham State struck first at 18:48 when Samuel Larkin found the back of the net off assists from Ashton Collazo and Devante Dixon, giving the Rams a 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission. 

2nd Period: 

3rd Period: 

  • Worcester State mounted a comeback early in the third, as Cody Porcello netted a goal just 27 seconds in, assisted by Matthew Peckham and Stirling Nash. 

  • The Lancers pulled within one at 4:41 when Matthew Peckham scored off a feed from Brian Clougherty. 

  • Despite Worcester State's push, Framingham State held on for the 3-2 victory.
