Westfield Survives Late Surge from Rams; Defeats Men’s Ice Hockey 5-4

Framingham, Mass. – The Westfield State men's ice hockey team built a commanding lead through two periods and held off a determined third-period rally by Framingham State to secure a 5-4 victory in MASCAC men's ice hockey action on Thursday night at Loring Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

1st Period: 

  • 10:36 – Westfield State opened the scoring with Christopher Miraldo finding the back of the net, assisted by Julian Boisclair and Emile Pichette. 

  • 17:43 – Emile Tremblay restored the lead for Westfield State, assisted by Pichette and Miraldo. 

2nd Period: 

  • 06:59 – Westfield extended their lead as Jesper Seeberg scored, with assists from Miraldo and Boisclair. 

  • 09:53 – Emile Pichette capitalized with an unassisted goal, increasing the lead to 4-1. 

  • 10:32 – Miraldo struck again, netting his second goal of the game off feeds from Pichette and Daniel Finegan, giving Westfield a 5-1 advantage. 

3rd Period:
