Men’s Ice Hockey Falls 4-2 to UMass Dartmouth

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University men's ice hockey team was defeated 4-2 this evening by UMass Dartmouth in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Loring Arena.   

THE BASICS:

-Records: Framingham State (1-5, 0-2 MASCAC), UMass Dartmouth (4-1, 2-0 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • The Corsairs tied the game just under five minutes into the second period on a goal from Nolan Wutzke and took the lead with just over three to play in the frame on a goal from Hank McDonough. 

  • The Rams tied the game at 2-2 in the opening minute of the third period when Scott Bugarin knocked home a rebound off of a shot from Sam Larkin. 

  • The Corsairs took the lead back at 15:01 on a goal from Collin Patterson and added a power play goal midway through the quarter to reach the final margin. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams held a 43-25 advantage in shots for the game and were 1-for-4 with the man advantage, while the Corsairs went 0-for-2 with the man advantage. 

  • Liam Kilgallen made 21 saves for the Rams, while Graham Burke made 41 stops for the Corsairs.
