Endicott Downs Men’s Basketball 77-58

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

• The Rams shot just 38% from the field in the game (21-56), while the Gulls connected on 40% of their offerings (25-62). 

• Javaris Hill paced the Rams on the offensive end of the floor as he tallied 12 points on 4-of-6 from the field to go along with three rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block. 

• Brett Okundaye chipped in with nine points, five boards, three assists and two steals. 

• JD Okafor, Jalen Bruce and Matthew Rohelia chipped in with seven points apiece for the Rams.  Okafor finished the contest with a team-high seven boards, an assist and two steals. 

• The Gulls were paced by 22 points from Jalen Echevarria who connected on 8-of-12 from the floor including 4-of-8 from behind the arc. 

• Billy Arseneault was the other Gull in double figures as he tallied 10 points and added three rebounds, three assists and a steal. 

• Cameron Ray and Dillon Grant finished with eight points apiece for the Gulls. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Both sides held leads early on in the action until a triple by Cameron Ray put Endicott on top for good with 15:28 remaining in the opening half, giving the Gulls a 12-11 cushion. 

•  The Rams kept things tight as an old-fashion three-point play by Javaris Hill (Lynn, Mass.) kept it a single possession game at 21-19 before Endicott closed the first half out on a 17-8 run to carry a 38-27 lead into the break. 

• The Gulls put the game away in the first five minutes of the second half with a 12-0 run capped by a Echevarria three with 15:26 to play. 

•  Endicott extended the lead to as many as 27 during the half before the Rams made up some ground late in the action to account for the 77-58 final score.
