Plymouth State Bests Field Hockey; 5-1

Plymouth, N.H. – Plymouth State's Taylor Healey's four-goal performance helped propel the Panthers past Framingham State, 5-1, at Panther Field Thursday afternoon.   

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • After a scoreless first quarter, Taylor Healey opened the scoring for Plymouth State at 24:11 with an unassisted goal.  

  • Healey doubled the Panthers' lead in the third period with another unassisted goal at 32:33, putting Plymouth up 2-0. 

  • Framingham State responded early in the fourth quarter when Finley Hogan scored an unassisted goal at 45:12 to cut the deficit to 2-1.  

  • Plymouth State quickly regained control, with Sarah Adamske restoring the two-goal lead just over a minute later.  

  • Healey then completed her hat trick at 48:01, assisted by Ellie Monahan, and added a fourth goal less than 30 seconds later to seal the 5-1 victory. 

 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Shots: Plymouth State outshot Framingham State 29-3, including 21 shots on goal. 

  • Saves: Kaitlyn Tello's 13 saves for Framingham kept the Rams competitive, while Plymouth State's Piper Sherbert made two saves. 

  • Penalty Corners: Plymouth State earned four corners to Framingham State's two.

The Rams return to the field on Saturday when the host Bridgewater State as part of Homecoming & Family Weekend. Prior to the contest, the Rams will also celebrate senior day.
