Bridgewater, Mass. – The Framingham State field hockey team secured a thrilling 2-1 win against Bridgewater State in a key MASCAC matchup on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Framingham State struck first, with Angelina Serra scoring an unassisted goal at the 6-minute mark to give the Rams a 1-0 lead.

Bridgewater State responded just before the end of the first quarter with Lexi James netting a goal, assisted by Taylor Carter, to tie the game 1-1.

After a scoreless second quarter, Framingham State regained the lead in the third quarter when Natalia Roehr scored her first goal of the season off an assist from Kaylee Beck at 31:18, putting the Rams up 2-1.

Despite Bridgewater State's constant pressure, Framingham State goalkeeper Kaitlyn Tello had a standout performance, making 12 saves to keep her team in the lead. Bridgewater State had a total of 23 shots, 13 of which were on goal, but couldn't break through Tello's strong defense in the fourth quarter.
