Football Shutout at Bridgewater State

Bridgewater, Mass. - The Framingham State University football team was defeated 41-0 this morning in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Mazzaferro Field. 

THE BASICS:

-Records: Framingham State (0-4, 0-3 MASCAC), Bridgewater State (1-3, 1-2 MASCAC) 

- Location: Mazzaferro Field – Bridgewater, Mass. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Bears held the Rams to just 129 yards of offense in the game while amassing 404 yards of offense. The Rams threw for 143 yards but were held to negative yards rushing. 

  • Treyvon Fields went 12-for-20 for 122 yards with an interception, while Donovan Cole completed 3-of-11 for 21 yards. Combined the two quarterbacks were sacked eight times in the game. 

  • EJ Nichols was the Rams leading receiver making four catches for 40 yards, while Camari Glasgow made two catches for 19 yards. 

  • Carl Renaudin paced the Rams defense with 14 tackles, including nine solo with one for a loss and a forced fumble. 

  • Kymauny Roland and Luis Sulham added seven tackles apiece with Roland recording a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. 

  • The Bears got on the board with a touchdown in the final minute of the first and added a field goal and touchdown in the second to lead 17-0 at the half.
