Burbank, Boyle & Panza Selected to D3baseball.com All-Region Teams and ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All Region Teams

Framingham, Mass. – Sophomore shortstop Steven Burbank (Canton, Mass.), junior outfielder Ryan Boyle (Arlington, Mass.) and senior relief pitcher Anthony Panza (Watertown, Mass.) have been selected to the 2023 D3baseball.com All-Region Second Team and the 2023 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region Teams – Region 2. 

The 2023 season marks the eleventh year that D3baseball.com has named All-Region Teams with more than 1,000 players being nominated across ten regions. Voting was then conducted by the D3baseball.com staff and contributors with three teams being selected in each region.  

The 2023 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all 10 regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee. 

Boyle, a two-time All-MASCAC selection, earns Second Team All-Region honors from both organizations after hitting .384 on the year with 53 hits on the year and a .652 slugging percentage.  Boyle, who was an All-Region selection in 2022, recorded 10 doubles and nine home runs with 52 RBI and added a .983 fielding percentage. 

Burbank earned Second Team All-Region Honors from both D3baseball.com and ABCA for the first time in his career after leading the Rams at the plate with a .404 average. Burbank, an All-MASCAC selection in 2023, recorded 59 hits on the year including 12 doubles and two triples with 28 RBI. 

Panza also earned his first All-Region selections being chosen to the second team by D3baseball.com and third team by ABCA. Panza also earned All-MASCAC accolades after going 4-2 with eight saves in 20 appearances on the mound. Panza eight saves ranked second in the MASCAC as he compiled a 1.57 ERA in 34.1 innings of work. 

The 2023 Rams finished the season 26-15 overall and 15-6 in the MASCAC capturing the program's first MASCAC Regular Season Title and the top seed in the MASCAC Tournament for the first time.
