Baseball Blanks Curry 8-0

Milton, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team hit a pair of home runs as the Rams shutout Curry 8-0 this afternoon non-conference action at Valley Diamond. 

THE BASICS: 

- Scores: Framingham State 8, Curry 0 

- Records: Framingham State (5-11), Curry (7-8) 

- Location: Milton, Mass. - Valley Diamond 

 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • The Rams got on the board in the top of the first inning on a two-run homer to left by Kennedy Wilson. 

  • The Rams added four more in the top of the third pushing the lead to 6-0. Lucas Basile crossed the plate first scoring on a wild pitch and Jacob Buontempo followed with a two run double to right. Joseph Fasolino capped the inning with an RBI single to center. 

  • Fasolino added a solo home run to center in the sixth and a Cam Gilroy sacrifice fly capped the Rams scoring in the top of the eighth. 

  • Vincent LoGuidice earned the win on the mound going seven shutout innings allowing just eight hits with a strikeout. 

  • Teaghin Andre tossed an inning and a third of scoreless relief allowing just one hit with three strikeouts, while Ryan Morry picked up the final two outs of the game via strikeouts. 

  • Ryan Boyle finished the game 4-for-5 at the plate with a double and two runs scored, while Fasolino finished the game 3-for-4 with a run scored, two RBI, a double and a homer.
