Women’s Cross Country Finishes 3rd at MASCAC Championships

Williamstown, Mass. – Framingham State University freshman Haley Chamberlain (Charlton, MA/Shepherd Hill) finished 3rd leading the Rams to a 3rd place finish at the 2014 MASCAC Alliance Championship at Mt. Greylock Course in Williamstown, MA.

The Rams top finisher was Chamberlain, who crossed the line at 20:34.71 for a third place finish. Chamberlain was followed by junior Hannah Daly (Ashland, MA) who came in at 21:25.73 for 16th place.

Freshman Megan Peterson (Walpole, MA) and Emily Mulloy (East Bridgewater, MA) finished back-to-back at 22:28.76 and 22:30.38 for 32nd and 33rd place. A few seconds later junior Morgan Zabinski (Rehoboth, MA/ Dighton-Rehoboth) crossed the line with a time of 22:52.31 (37th).

Sophomore Courtney Torres (Westminster, MA/ Dublin Christian Academy) and freshman Valerie Thibaud (Charlton, MA/ Shepherd Hill) rounded out Rams point getters with times of 23:11.60 (42nd) and 23:54.38 (51st), respectively.

Framingham State finished in third place of eight teams and with an average time of 21:58.38.

The Rams will compete at the ECAC Championships hosted by Westfield State on Saturday, November 8th.
