Cross Country Competes at MASCAC Championships

Paxton, Mass.- The Framingham State men's and women's cross country programs competed in the 2015 MASCAC Cross Country Championships at Moore State Park on Saturday. The women's team placed 5th in team scoring while the men came in 7th.

The women were paces by sophomore Taylor Roberts (North Brookfield, Mass.) who finished fifth overall with a 5k time of 19:36.

Next in for the Rams was senior Morgan Zabinski (Rehoboth, Mass.) with a 21:16 (18th). Juniors Mikaela Ranahan (North Andover, Mass.) & Courtney Torres (Westminster, Mass.) came in with times of 22:31 (40th) & 22:35 (41st), respectively. Iracely Sanchez (Framingham, Mass.) came home at 23:00 (47th) followed by Jenna Anan (Littleton, Mass.) at 23:04 (48th).

On the men's side junior Dan Stevens (Holliston, Mass.) led the way with an 8k time of 30:42 (46th) followed by Richie Wertz (South Easton, Mass.) at 31:35 (58th). Sophomore Doug Perkins (Newton, Mass.) crossed at 34:21 (80th) followed by junior Greg Asci at 34:44 (84th) and senior Jay Ebersole (Natick, Mass.) at 36:13 (89th).

The Rams will compete at the ECAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 7th at Mt. Greylock High School.
