2016 MASCAC Regular Season Champion Volleyball Earns Top Seed in MASCAC Tournament

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team captured the 2016 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) regular season title and earned the top seed in this week's MASCAC Volleyball Tournament.

The Rams finished the regular season 20-11 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the MASCAC.  As the top seed, the Rams will host the semifinals and finals of the tournament on Saturday, November 5th at the Athletic & Recreation Center.

The quarterfinal round of the tournament will be played on Wednesday, November 2nd.  Fourth seed Bridgewater State will host fifth seed Worcester State and the winner will advance to face the Rams in the first semifinal on Saturday at 11 a.m. Third seed MCLA will host sixth seed Salem State in the other quarterfinal and the winner will advance to face second seed Westfield State in the second semifinal on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Framingham.

The tournament will conclude on Saturday 30 minutes after the conclusion of the second semifinal with the winners of the two semifinal matches meeting to determine who earns the MASCAC's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Volleyball Championships.
