Volleyball Lands Four on All-MASCAC Teams – Casali Named Champion’s Choice Coach of the Year

Westfield, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team has placed four players on the 2014 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference Teams and head coach Richard Casali has been named the Champion's Choice Coach of the Year in voting conducted by league's coaches.

Sophomores Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) have earned first team honors, while senior Courtney Wilbur (Braintree, Mass.) and junior Annie DeLoid (Plymouth, Mass.) have landed on the second team.

Rackliffe earns her second straight first team honors after leading the Rams with 368 kills (3.32 k/s), 54 aces and 86 blocks on the year with a .307 hitting percentage.  Wan was right behind with 266 kills, 60 aces, and 385 digs as she averaged 2.35 kills per set and 3.44 digs per frame.

Wilbur earns her first all-conference honors in her final season with the Rams after amassing 418 defensive digs on the year.  DeLoid, who also earns her first all-conference accolades, averaged two kills per set with a .253 hitting percentage.

Casali earns his third MASCAC Coach of the Year honors in the last four seasons having previously won the award in 2011 and 2012.  Casali guided the Rams to a perfect 6-0 mark in the MASCAC and their second MASCAC Regular Season Crown in three seasons.  The Rams have earned the top seed in the 2014 MASCAC Championship Tournament.  Casali won his 200th game this season and has led the Rams to three straight 20+ win seasons.
