Volleyball Splits a Pair with Keene and UMass Dartmouth

Keene, NH – The Framingham State University volleyball team split a pair of non-conference matches this afternoon with Keene State College and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. The Rams defeated the Corsairs 3-2 in the opener (25-16, 23-25, 23-25, 25-20) before falling to the Owls 3-0 (25-22, 25-8, 25-12).

With the split, the Rams are now 20-10 on the season and reach the 0 win plateau for the third straight season.

Sophomore Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.) led the Rams with 15 kills on 26 attacks for a .423 hitting percentage. Rackliffe filled the stat sheet with four digs, two aces and four blocks.  Junior Annie DeLoid (Plymouth, Mass.) also had a solid game on the attack for the Rams with 14 kills and five digs.  Sophomore Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) chipped in with 13 kills and seven digs, while senior Courtney Wilbur (Braintree, Mass.) racked up a match-high 27 defensive digs.

In the day's final match, Rackliffe picked up nine kills, while Wan added six and eight digs. Senior Maribeth Martin (Barnstable, Mass.) dished out 14 set assists, while Wilbur finished with seven digs.

The Rams are back in action on Tuesday with their final home regular season game when they entertain Rivier University at 7 p.m.
