Willimantic, Conn. – The Framingham State University volleyball team received a solid effort from All-Tournament selected Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) as the 34th Annual Crabtree Classic as the Rams were defeated by tournament champion Wheaton College and the University of New England and host Eastern Connecticut State University.
The Rams are now 13-7 on the season after falling 3-1 in the opener to the Nor'Easters and following that up with a 3-1 loss to Wheaton College. The Rams dealt the tournament champion Lyons their only loss in a set all day when they captured the second set 27-25. The Rams closed the day with a 3-1 loss to the host Warriors.
The Rams are back in action on Tuesday evening when they host Mount Ida College in non-conference action at 6 p.m.
