Volleyball Drops Norwich and Eastern Nazarene at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

North Dartmouth, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team went 2-0 on the opening night of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Invitational. The Rams defeated Norwich University and Eastern Nazarene by identical scores of 3-0.

The Rams (3-1) defeated Eastern Nazarene (6-1) by scores of 25-21, 25-13 and 25-20.  Sophomore Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.) led the Rams attack with 15 kills and two aces, while classmate Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) chipped in with seven kills and eight digs.  Senior Maribeth Martin (Barnstable, Mass.) dished out 22 assists, while senior Courtney Wilbur (Braintree, Mass.) racked up a team-high 20 digs and junior Danielle Girard (Tivoli, NY) added ten.

The Rams are back in action tomorrow afternoon with their remaining two matches at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational as they face Regis College and the host Corsairs at 12 and 2 p.m.
