Paxton, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's volleyball team rolled to a 3-1 win tonight over the Anna Maria College Amcats in non-conference action. The Rams improve to 11-7 on the season, while the Amcats fall to 3-12.
Freshman middle hitter Ashley Nee (Hanson, Mass.) led a trio of Rams with double digit kills. Nee recorded a career-best 19 kills on 22 attacks with no errors for a .864 hitting percentage. Sophomore Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) and junior Jackie Friel (Centerville, Mass.) also recorded double digit kills with 13 and 12 respectively.
Junior Courtney Moylan (Bourne, Mass.) and freshman Kayla Bertrand (Agawam, Mass.) had strong games serving the ball for the Rams as each recorded four aces. Freshman Michelle DeJesus (Milford, Mass.) chipped in three aces and 12 receptions without an error, while classmate Morgan Drew (North Easton, Mass.) added 31 assists.
The Rams return to action on tomorrow night when they host the Suffolk Rams at 6 p.m.
