The Rams won in straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-16.  With the win, the Rams improve to 8-5 on the year, while the Blazers slip to 4-7.

The Rams jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first set on a block by junior Jackie Friel (Centerville, Mass.) and extended the lead to 7-2 on an ace by freshman Kayla Bertrand (Agawam, Mass.). The Rams extended their lead to 17-6 before Elms College junior Christina Martin (Chicopee, Mass.) picked up a pair of kills and Stacy Croteau (Agawam, Mass.) a block to pull the Blazers to 23-11, but the Rams were able to quickly close the set.

In the second game, the Rams once again jumped out to a quick 12-2 lead on kills from sophomores Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) and Erin Connolly (Lakeville, Mass.) and a block by freshman Ashley Nee (Whitman, Mass.).  Sophomore Rachel Cowan (Ellington, Conn.) picked up a big block in the second set for the Blazers to end a long Rams run, but the hosts were able to regroup and they cruised to the victory in the second set.

Fernandes led the Rams with ten kills and six aces, while Bertrand also picked up six aces to go along with 15 digs.  Nee finished the match with six kills and four blocks, while Friel finished with three blocks and two kills.
